Giclées

Reproductions of Art on Canvas

Hello Friends! A couple of years ago I decided to sell reproductions on canvas of my artwork. People respond so enthusiastically to my artwork, and I felt that people might want to purchase reproductions of some of my original pieces.

The colors are so accurate and vivid, and the image a flawless match of the original artwork. Their weight, texture and finish give these prints on canvas a true “museum quality” feel.

The process of creating this prints is unbelievable: they’re created using pigment-based inks on 100% acid free, ph buffered canvas. Even the coatings were specifically developed for the new inks.

The canvas combined with the pigment-based ink have an archival color stability of 150 years. And while I can’t tell you for a fact that your giclée will look as good in 150 years as it does now, the experts do say that it will last for generations to come.

There are a number of benefits to collecting the giclées. One is the choices they afford you in terms of size. An original piece only comes in one size; for the most part there are at least 4 sizes of a giclée to choose from.

A giclée is perfect for a family room, kitchen, or kid’s room- any place that could use some color. Their affordability means that you can group a few of them together and make a “story” with them.

Although the original signature is on the giclée, if it’s appropriate to the image, I will sign the print again as well. In addition, I’m able to personalize it with names or message of your choice.

In purchasing a giclée, you can opt to have it “gallery wrapped” or framed. Gallery wrap means that the image or accent color extends around the sides of the canvas so that the piece looks great even without a frame. Or you can opt to purchase the giclée framed. I often paint on the frames so you can specify if you have an opinion one way or another. Either gallery wrapped or framed, the piece will have a wire in the back of it and be ready to hang.

And then voilå, your home will be suddenly happier!
